Install a battery/starter dis-connect.  Ya its a little more work to start it when you are in a hurry BUT then that is just life!

My brother did that on a 54 Chev pickup he restored.  Hid the dis-connect under the dash,  never got stolen, people(criminals) tried but never succeeded.

Now, if they show up with a tow truck, the above doesn't work!!
The only good tree, is a stump!

You can install an ignition kill kit that has a small switch hidden somewhere in the cab.  When you park, you flip the switch and the ignition won't work until the switch is turned off.

I think you can also install a kill kit connected to the factory alarm, probably some place like Car Toys would be a good place to start.

When I redid my house I stayed with my in-laws right on the federal way/Auburn border. My truck got stolen and when the cops came out this is what he recommended. He just said not to put it right under the dash next to.tbe ignirion but in a slightly less obvious place.

Just buy a tracking device so if / when it gets stolen, you can track it.   Easy cheap solution.  If I owned a Chevy I would leave the windows down with a key in it….when it got stolen I would buy a dodge.   :yike: :IBCOOL: :chuckle:

As others have said, a kill switch located in a not obvious location.
A buddy of mine added a stock looking switch that was added next to all the other stock switches. Labeled something like bed lights etc…
Only you would know it was a kill switch. In addition to a alarm for the break in notifications.
