36 pounds..........after carrying the 12 pounder around. WOW  I was up in a tree last night trying to freehand it and it about killed me.  I guess I wouldn't be in the tree with this one though. LOL

Man, I would get tired of carrying my 400mm f2.8 around the field while shooting college football let alone out hiking the hills with one.  I respect you strong armed guys Tom and Bone.  I would love to see your face if you did a side by side comparison with the 400mm DO...lol.

Canon 40D for Pope and I.  I believe Tom shoots a different model.

they both seem to be about the same price range.....is there a big difference.
i know squat about cameras, but would love to learn to take pictures like the ones you guys are posting on here....awesome.

Everyone has helped me out a ton. 

I also volunteer to be the photographer at every birthday party, baby dedication, sunday school activity, Hooters Swimsuit Contest...whatever I can find.  I have really noticed a big difference in my first photos to my recent ones at these activities.  Even though the quality is nowhere near what these pros and semipros are putting up there, it is improving over time.
