Man as a south paw I would love to see that in a rifle configuration. Does anyone know if you put a 16" barrel on it and a stock would it be considered a rifle?
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

If the barrel length is 16" then its considered a long gun/rifle. Under 16" and its a pistol, which is where the grey area of stabilizers/braces comes in. If you want to keep the short barrel
(sub 16") and then put a stock on it, it is now considered a short barrel rifle (SBR) which requires you to register it as such with the AFT and pay the $200 tax stamp by filing a Form 1. The only other way around this is to get a suppressor (Form 1 or Form 4) then pin weld it to the barrel so the overall length is 16" or greater. Then you'd file a single Form 1 and only pay $200. Personally I'd prefer to keep the setup small, so I'd put a folding stock on it and register it as an SBR with a Form 1 and pay the $200. Then I'd build a custom suppressor with a second Form 1 so the suppressor is removable and able to used on different hosts. This way the overall length is short (backpack sized) and I can fold the stock out and thread on the suppressor.

I believe if it is marked as a pistol from the factory, even if it has an arm brace, it is still considered a pistol so no SBR stamp would be required.  Now, if you put a actual stock on it, not an arm brace, then it would become a SBR.  Before they went out of biz Remington had something similar and it came with the arm brace and was called a bolt action pistol w/arm brace.
