I’ve been doing a few snaps myself since I’ve been leaving big game alone.

Doug, I'm assuming that is all lens and not digital zoom?  The feather detail on the Junco is amazing. What type of lens do you use for these shots?

Thank you!  Shooting the 400 with the 2x doubler on it for a focal length of 800mm.  You lose a little sharpness with it, but even  with 800 it’s best to be on top of them.
I’m trying really hard to get a varied thrush and a Flicker  close

Varied thrushes are one of my favorite birds.......there are about 7-8 of them in my yard right now.......turning over leaves, looking for bugs.

I think there we have two kinds of flickers that spend all day on the suet feeders.

I've tried taking pictures of the birds in my yard, but so far the results are pretty pathetic...........

I have been having issues posting to this thread since last week. Not sure what the issue is so I will try just putting in text and no photo.

So that worked. Now I will try adding 1 photo of a Townsend's Warbler that I saw on New Year Day.
