Our air fryer gets used all the time.  A staple of the kitchen.  We had two for awhile, the Ninja and the Cuisinart (which I later gave to my sister) both in the "toaster oven" style that work as air fryer, toaster, broiler, etc.

Veggies, fries, chicken legs with skin on, etc.  Everything gets put in there.  Spray with a bit of oil, and turns out well.  The device also works well for reheating food instead of using the microwave if you want the food to be crispy instead of soggy (like in a microwave). I've even perfected making grilled ham and cheese sandwhiches in the air fryer.  Have tried almost everything in there.

Fish (Walleye of course) do an egg wash then bread with Progresso sweet and spicy panko.  13 minutes or so later at 375 is heaven sent.

Panko should be under $3 but I see it on line for stupid prices.

What's everyone's choice of fryer? I've seen a few names posted so far

I can only speak to the two I've had.  For the "toaster oven" style models, the Ninja has more sq inches of space on the rack whereas the Cuisanart as more height clearance than the Ninja.   I preferred the Cuisanart for the extra height, but the wife preferred the Ninja for more square inches on the rack.  Both worked fine, just depends on your preferences.

Quick question...
Are they all loud? Our Instant Pot one is pretty loud. I assume they all are with the fans, but was curious.

The Ninja and Cuisarnart models are both loud when in air fry or convection bake modes.  Quiet in toaster or regular oven modes.  It's the fans.  The Ninja also runs the fan to cool down after the cook is over, so stays loud for a little bit after also.  Not jet turbo engine loud, but loud enough to know the fan is on.

I run the Cuisnart like KS does that is also toaster oven, toaster etc. In air fry mode it is a little louder but not bad at all, much quieter than even running the microwave. The one thing to remember is to not try to get too much into the oven at one time as the air needs to circulate to get it to cook evenly. For those that are trying to add more veggies into your diet, I recommend experimenting with air frying veggies. Little olive oil, garlic power, salt and pepper. Delicious

My Cuisinart is very load, in the summer I plug it in on the deck. Being an old deaf guy all conversation stops if it is running  :dunno: maybe not a bad thing :chuckle: :chuckle:

Ours is the ninja foodi pressure cooker, air fryer, etc....the basket style and it is not to loud at all.  You can hear the fan, but it isn't obnoxious.  We bout ours for cooking rice and it is the best rice cooker around in my opinion.  Now trying out the air fryer.....boy howdy.....I am impressed.  I would like the oven type for more square inches.  The basket is a limiting factor.  With that said, it cooks so stinking fast....Its not that hard to run a couple batches for the family.

We must not use ours correctly or something, for all the hype I've heard about them I've never had a meal I was impressed with. It now has a home in the closet with half a dozen other appliances that don't get touched.  :dunno:

No idea, it was a gift from the MIL, she tends to go with high end stuff so I'm sure it's a good one.

We use ours whenever we do fish, chicken, and fries!   Anything frozen or needs a oil bath, gets air fried!

Great for re-heating pizza!!  Better then any microwave warm-ups!

Lately, I found hot dogs have been awesome in a airfryer. Also, those crappy frozen gas station burritos. Thawed and lightly oiled and into an air fryer and boom, instant chimichanga.
