We haven't had a microwave in years, but I'll never go without an air fryer again :chuckle:

We've used the air fry mode on our toaster oven a few times but it still stinks up the house like deep frying. I do all deep frying outside because of the smell.  Do the smaller units not smell up the house so bad?
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Zero smell from ours besides just cooked food

There's no oil added in the air fryer. We have an Instant Pot and it literally can do anything any of your other appliances can do. You can throw in frozen foods and cook them right up as mentioned and if you have crappy cuts of meat that are tough you just throw them in with enough liquid to cover them, then you run them the pressure cooker way, adjusting for the weight of the meat and thickness, and then let the pressure self release and the meat is tender Everytime. YOU MUST LET IT RELEASE PRESSURE ON ITS OWN! It literally makes a HUGE difference in the tenderness. Try it. 3lbs of roast cooks in less than 15 minutes. Even frozen. Then it depressurizes for about the same amount of time. The air fryer mode works for any and everything you can be in the frozen food Isle besides pizza and tv dinners. It will cook and crisp anything when you figure out timing and adjustments. If you wanna just dump the whole bag of pizza bites into a basket instead of a single layer you can, you just stop it every three to five minutes and toss them to move the top ones to the bottom. Then start again. Ours is the version where stopping it means you literally just take the air fryer lid off and it stops. Then toss real quick, put the lid back, and press start again. They are super easy.

Our basket style does not sting up the house at all.  We did chicken and broccoli last night and no more smell than you would get from baking or cooking on the stovetop.
