Wow Bruce! Great haul!  How many sets do you have out that you can pull that in one day?
I think I had out 21 sets. Just to even things out I came back with zip today.
Wow, that's quite the haul. Do the skunks spray when they're trapped? Do you have to live outside in the shed during trapping season?
Sometimes yes but judging from the glands mostly they do not. Even at that they have a fragrance about them spray or not. I can go in the house anytime I want because I am single. Hmm, is there a connection?

I have something stripping my bait in cat traps. I am thinking civets. I think I have seen instructions on how to make the traps on here before. A little help?  If not, someone have some for sale and a little instruction on where and how to set?

At one time I posted how to make or at least pictures of the traps I used to use. I can't seem to find the thread though. They are very hard to make. My advice, buy a KORO rodent trap and build a box for it, $16.

Just adding a little update. Ran about 25 miles of woods road yesterday looking at traps in the snow. Saw only one bobcat track the whole way. Three separate fresh cougar tracks. I am pretty sure I scared one off the road. Never saw a deer track the entire distance. Did see the tracks of a small herd of elk.
Picked up 6 more civets. 2 however were chewed on. Not bad but enough to foul them up for taxidermy.
Permit area and my permit runs out last day of the year, so things are winding down on this trapline. Kind of nervous about setting in the snow in another area with people out over New Years.
Saw two different vehicles in the permit area that I know damn good and well they were hunting. No seasons are open there except of course cougar. Grouse too, I guess. Not much in there IMO. Maybe they will get one of those cougars.

I don’t have any Koro traps. I’ll try and hunt some up. Trap in the entrance and bait in the back?  Set in the ground or no?
