Mouse Guns....Keltec P32 or Ruger LCR?
«

Ok, were are talking mouse guns here. A handgun you can simply carry in your jeans pocket. No holster, no nothing. Lightweight. Bellyblaster for close and personal work.
Is a Keltec P32 enough. I argue it is. I want one.
Is a LCR too big for the pocket? Pretty damn small and light, all things considered. I want one of these also. Too bad they dont make these in a .32
What are your thoughts.....?

I won’t carry anything in the pocket without a holster, not loaded anyway. Too much chance of getting snagged on something and going off. I have carried a snub S&W, Ruger LCP and a GLock 26 in the pocket, all in holsters. Of the lot, I prefer the Glock, it’s a bit bulky but it works. I don’t like anything in my pocket with a chambered round and no safety, so I’ve given up on the revolvers and I carry the autos without chambering a round. I don’t like pocket carry but sometimes it’s the best way.
PS – Keltec is crap, I wouldn’t own one.

I have 2 K-Ts...one P32 and one P3AT, other than dehorning them with an emery board I have had ZERO issues with them. They run well, snappy as they are light, but run well and carry easy.

I shot one of the 2" barreld Airweight revolvers the other day in .38sp... that was the snappiest little gun I've ever fired. I couldn't hit dick with it... and my knuckle on my middle finger is still bruised. Don't know about the small automatics... but I'll keep my 4" XD tight to the hip... my wife doesn't even know when I'm heeled with that thing... don't suppose anyone else would either.

Scope this out, I was at my Bros store a couple hours ago, he sold a Ruger "LCP"
? a 380 for just over 300.00 new. compasred to the beretta it felt like a club, and MUCH bigger,

I don't remember what I paid for my p3at 380, but I believe it's cheaper than the ruger? I've ran at least 500 rounds through it with zero malfunctions and it's real light, easily concealable (front pants pocket). I forget that I'm carring it. The only down side to it, it's a firecracker going off in your hand!

Nothing wrong with the Kel-Tec, the Ruger would be a solid choice.
I shot the S&W, M&P 340, scandium with full power .357 loads, the other day. Your not a man if you can't shoot 5 rounds thru that.................... I decided I didn't want to be a man after 2

Hmmmm....
Yeah, some like the Keltecs...some dont. I am leaning towards the Keltec due to its 6.9ounce fully loaded weight. Beat that with a Beretta...
I have carried my wifes smith .38 airweight, nice but still a bit bulky in the pant pocket. I bet the LCR is no different, just maybe a tiny bit lighter.
When ever I carry a pocket gun, it has an empty chamber. Too close to the boys to be risking things...

14.5 ounces, in 32, that work. I been shooting beretta 22.s for years. I think I'l get one.
I bought a Kimber Tac II 45 today, very sweet.

Rack and go. Practice practice practice. Better than no gun. Maybe just psychologically safer on an empty chamber. From what I have read, one extra second racking a round in, is better than no gun.

My go-to minimal carry gun has been an AMT Backup .380 for the past 12+ years. Front pocket or inside the waistband (mostly the latter).
