Tough saying. I wish there was size to something besides muskie and LMB in those lakes. Planning a few trips to Cascade and Curlew soon. That will scratch the itch for the bigguns.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

If anyone is interested, I saw an add today for a Ice Fishing Tournament on Elk Creek Reservoir over in Idaho.  It would be south of Saint Maries, so a long drive for some of you.  It's a trout tournament, but lots of other types of fish in there.  Entry fee was $10.

My parents would take us kids there ,30 years ago.
We would bring a hatchet and firewood.
Cut hole through the ice with a hatchet to fish, and build a fire on the ice. Winter was rough then. The road was so bad with snow we would walk the mile or whatever it was ,pulling sleds through the snow, with firewood and fishing gear.

Any ice reports from you Moses lake folks? Was considering a run over to upper goose. Is it fishable? Think that 39° and sunny on Friday gonna mess it all up?

Finally got our hut yesterday after several failed Reddaway delivery attempts due to to weather. Got the white composite runners attached to the bottom of the sled, now for the rest of the crap. By the time we get this thing put together with all our gear it’s going to weigh a ton  :( . Told myself I wasn’t going to add electronics to my ice fishing, but that also has changed. I figured it would save time by not sitting in an unproductive spot wondering if there was even anything down in the water. Watched WAY too many ice fishing fish finder videos and ended up with a Garmin LiveScope Ice fishing bundle with Echomap. Once I seen how it worked I couldn’t unsee it, I had to have it. The only justification for the purchase is it’s going to get used on the boat too. I feel like I need to move to Minnesota or Wisconsin now  :tung: .

I do have a 4 man blue tarp. But any place you chose to go right now is a chore hauling the fish camp onto the ice.

I sure did  :bash: . We did a crap ton of fishing last spring and summer so I’m hoping the Garmin will be a good addition to the boat. I still feel dirty though  :'( .

Your first perch will be a $3000 fish, but each subsequent fish will half that price  ;)

:chuckle:  Or the ones I just viewed on the fancy Garmin screen and never caught! It’ll be WDFW compliant, just view don’t catch or kill.
