Thermal monocular question
« on: January 25, 2022, 09:38:42 AM »
Curious if anyone has peered through an AGM TM10-256?   They are under $750.  I'm curious if it would pick up a coyote heat signature at 400 yards or so.  I know you get what you pay for, and I wouldn't expect good resolution at that range. But would you at least pick up heat?  Really wanting to get into thermal but the costs are high.

Without decent resolution you can't tell a rock from a coyote unless moving. I have a Key 22 and can't  tell a deer from a coyote at 400 yards. It's a $1700 unit. I would hunt with lights until you can afford decent equipment. :twocents:

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

I don’t recommend anything less than 35mm.  Don’t wasted your $
I provide a service to cattle ranchers year around that have problem coyotes.  I also provide guided night hunts year around. I sell Night Vision and Thermal optics. The scopes I use are the NVision Halo XRF and Pulsar Merger XL50 LRF HD Binoculars

Old post. Probably have their answer but I tried out the ATN OTS xlt and it was horrible. Refreshed so often it made a very poor experience. Sold it to my friend who loved it but had same  complaint. This one was horrible https://www.atncorp.com/thermal-monocular-ots-xlt-160-2-8x

The I got the
ATN OTS LT 320 3-6X and it solved all the refresh problems.will not ever buy cheap ass thermal again
