Well, since the conversation has strayed from the original "sub 500$ carry gun..........9mm", I'll chime in with my daily carry.

S&W 342PD...........10.8 oz. of fury.  Carried in either an ankle holster or just in a coat pocket, it's barely noticeable.

Its always seemed to me that an ankle holster is about the last place I would want to carry concealed. Great when you have time to retrieve but what about in close quarters or when you need a quick counter?

I agree.....it's not the best option for retrieving quickly.  But, when driving or riding in a vehicle, it is a comfortable way to carry.......and accessible.

I think if you know you have time to retrieve it and if you have an option to make that much movement it works. Like the Fred Myers situation if you were in a different isle sure it will work.

Fastest, easiest, and most comfortable should be spot number 1. For me that’s ITW 8:00.

I appendix carry for the reason that it is the quickest (for me), and least obvious that I'm going after my weapon.

Since about 2013 I’ve carried a Ruger LC9 with the integrated laser. I’ve been really happy with it.

I carry a XD .40 cal. 4" every day all day. Most times I just carry ODB with a tee shirt over it. Not really trying to hide it. If I feel the need to go IDB, I use a Galco Super Tuk or Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. You have to look for it to notice. Most people are completely oblivious to their surroundings and do not notice. When you carry all the time, it becomes just another piece of clothing.
I agree that a single stack 9mm is about the thinnest Conceal Carry option, the Hellcat (great shooter BTW) or if you are a Glock person, any one of the "Baby Glocks" will do perfectly fine.
Just get a really good belt and wear it.

I always carried a G19. Then my wife picked up a CZ P10C. After shooting hers, I bought one for myself and stuck the Glock in the safe. For me, I shoot the better and more confidently. It’s just a touch over $500, but it’s my go to.

I may be looking for something different if this whole magazine ban goes through. No sense in carrying a P10C size CCW, when you’re limited to 10 rounds per mag…

The ban is for sale, import, build, but NOT for possession.

Might just be time to buy yourself a couple spare high cap mags and be good to go, if you like your P10C.

The way I read it, you can't have 11+ magazines even loaded unless at a shooting range or in the feild?

My everyday carry is a S&W M&P Shield in .40.  Love it.  I do have a Remington RM380 that have a pocket holster and goes right into my pocket .
