Here is a novel idea...do what Idaho does, make it the entire week before the general opener...the dates are always set, and hey, the kids can hunt for a week before anyone else, but also everyone can hunt on the same trip...my son and I head to Idaho a few days before the general opener, he gets to hunt while we scout/practice, and then on April 15th it's finally my turn (he is usually tagged out before the 15th) but it allows us to make a family hunting trip out of if. We know EVERY YEAR youth season is April 8th-14, and then the general opener is April 15th. The way Washington has it now, it is a special trip for the youth hunt, likely just on the weekend which this year is almost 2 weeks before the general opener...then when the kids (and adults) get to finally go back out the birds have likely moved (April 1st is awfully early and snow will likely keep the birds low in the valleys)...We have found great success in Idaho that week before the general opener and there is no break in the hunting. Not everyone can make two trips, especially to the far NE corner where there are more birds and better hunting.

Dale, I text too, but since we won the 2020 hunt, I would like to donate to the cause this year, I will pay for the lucky hunter to have a tail and beard mounted.

Thanks Jeff, I'll get it added on as soon as possible.

Is this a typo in the new Turkey regulations or youth age requirements are different for Turkey hunting?

Under 16 at the time of purchasing license. Is that bottom one from a WDFW pamphlet?  Because the spring regs were in the 2021-2022 Upland game and waterfowl book.

They might get cited. Doesn't seem like it would stand very long in court though.

Contacted Eric Gardner and they will be making a change on that age on the online regs.

Eric does seem like a decent guy. Few times I've talked with him through email.
