I agree, the wood stocks "feel" alot better to me as well. I like the looks of the mounts, perty good lookin.  Hellava caliber for bucks and coyotes. Congrats on your new shootin iron!

Wood is pretty, synthetic is practical on the wetside. I hit mine with a machete last year tracking a bear in the jungle glad it was plastic :chuckle: Nice gun you will love the way it shoots. Mark

Nice!  How do you like the DNZ mount?  I was thinking about getting one for my next project rifle.

This is the first DNZ mount that I have owned, so I can't say that I have a lot of experience with it. But just from looking at it, it looks like a good quality scope mount. Well made and feels like a very secure method of scope mounting. All the reviews that I read online said that they were happy with them. If/when I buy another rifle, I will buy another DNZ mount.

i might get blasted for this, but i will take it like a man if i do. those guns are a lot better looking to me with a wood stock than they are with a plastic stock.
good looking rifle.

No blast as long as you are the one carrying the extra weight of the wood.

I own 3 Tikka T3 Lites and they are exactly that, Lite and that's they way I like it. I have a very high appreciation for pretty wood, but I don't care to carry it around all day. I do own a Browning A-Bolt in 7MM STW in synthetic and it weighs over 9 lbs scoped and loaded. I love my Tikkas and will continue to enjoy them for some time.

i own 1 rifle with a wood stock...and it's coming off as soon as i settle on a barrel. already have the synthetic replacement.

all mine are synthetic, and i don't mind the weight. nothing against the tikka's, just not my cup of tea. it's obvious they are great rifles.

I use dednutz too. Between those and Tally's you cant go wrong. But I like the dednutz. No honing, just tighten it down and rock and roll.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.
