I've shot two banded wood ducks.  The first was a drake in '96.  When I sent the numbers in they said it was from Nampa, Idaho.  The second was a hen in '08 and it came from Harrah, WA.  I've been duck hunting since 1990.  My dad has been hunting ducks since the mid sixties and has never shot a banded duck.

Nice Harli's!!  What does the blue band signify?

I was fortunate enough to take a double banded harly in 2006 (yellow-green band).  I was told the color represents the region where the bird was banded, is this true?

I have been collecting duck and goose bands for 51 years.  I have a few widgeon and pintail from the west side when I used to live over there.  The rest are from the Tri cities area.  This picture is from the last day of the season this past season.  I shot a limit of ducks and this one gadwall was one of the most beautiful ducks I have taken.  I had him mounted.
