Everything bagel venison backstraps
« on: February 19, 2022, 06:37:26 PM »
Holy crap this is so good. I wasn’t sure at first but it’s super easy and super delicious. It’s not top chef material, but it’s easy and quick.
I used the air fryer instead of the grill. 8 minutes at 400 degrees.

I have done similar but cube it up and toss it in olive oil and everything bagel seasoning. Piping hot skillet to sear the edges and devour. So dang good

That looks great. I preseasoned all mine for sous vides cooking from frozen, but next year I’m doing some bagel steaks for sure.

Can't believe I've never heard of Everything but the Bagel Seasoning before. Gonna have to try this.

 :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

I went and picked up two containers of it today because of this thread and have elk backstrap thawing as I type this. Going to do what vandeman said and sear little pieces of it. Will try the Realtree recipe a different time.

Hmm, interesting; haven’t heard of this one. I know my favorite, Montana’s Original Alpine Touch has never met it’s match in joust or duel…., but I’ll give this upstart a try  ;)

I’m on a 900mg of sodium a day or less diet. This fits the bill. Looking forward to giving it a try.
