Crabbing at Tokeland
« on: February 26, 2022, 06:06:10 PM »
My "partner" backed out on going Monday because of the rain.
I have extra traps and bait if anyone wants to come say hello.
.
Figure best time will be 8am-1pm, but I got way too much chicken for just me...
.
I'll be there from around 7-until I give up.
.
Just off the pier, no boat.
The mountains are calling and I must go."

.
I'll have to check him out.
Hope he is not the condecending ass that I have met with his phone on a tripod.
.
Whole dock to throw a pot on, and he threw right between us, told me the little support blocks on the railing was the divider.
.
5 feet, ?
.
"He's been doing this a long time, and he knows"...
.
But, it's probably not.
He only shows up on sunny days.
.
I have been hitting that pier pretty good since they reopened after the domoic algea closure.
.
At least twice a month.
.
Only met 3 people I didn't like.
.
And he was a pleasant person, just entitled to rub elbows on the one end of the pier.
.
And an "expert" on everything.

Before this post dies,
It was a good time.
.
.253 showed up ready to face the day.
.
It was wet, windy, cold..
.
I did not socialize with him much.
.
He dealt with the weather without complaint.
.
I will invite him again, and hope for better weather.

SSB,
Thanks for the invite! My wife and I had Dungeness crab cakes and salad for dinner tonight. It was so fresh and delicious.
Yeah the weather was pretty bad. However, I have razor clam'd in similar weather 3x before so it wasn't a big deal for me. So lets go crab'n again soon brother! 253shotgunner
