My New Stinkbomb arriving Monday!
« on: May 13, 2009, 10:13:54 AM »
Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought another Chessie. He is from a very fine field trial bloodline. The breeders are in Missouri. He is flying into SeaTac on Monday. I'm going fishing today until then. Glad, that way I won't be sitting around watching the time pass. I'm feeling like a little kid waiting to open Christmas presents!

Crossfire's Empire Builder aka Ty.
(My Dad was a huge railroad fan and did a lot of railroad drawings and paintings. Empire Builder was the rail line from Chicago to Seattle. Ty-for railroad tie. Probably need one to train him! He is after all, a Chessie :))

Here is one from last weekend of Kaie. She is 2.5 year old. Just got her senior hunter title the week before last.

congrats...good looking pup.

a 2x4 is a lot easier to handle than a railroad tie for training purposes.

I picked up Ty on Monday. He is a real character and slipped right into place at home. I think Kaie(my 2.5YO Female) was a little pissed off at first about the whole thing but, after one day she waits for me to get him out of his crate, waits for him to follow her out in the yard to air and seems to be keeping an eye on him. I think a little motherly instinct has set in.

I couldn't be happier with him. He has a ton of personality and isn't really even fully settled in yet. He is fearless and bold. Kaie tried to take a toy away from him and he growled a little and barked at her. She looked at me and then looked at him with the 76lb Chessie look saying, "you're really joking right?" Ty is all of 13 weeks going on a full grown male attitude. He will hopefully be a real big handful....I am banking on it!
