Southern California Turkeys

Any one ever hunt Southern California for Turkeys ? I had to cancel but my son is still going around Guatay Mountain. Guatay national forest. He is at Stationed down there so a little closer drive for him. Maybe next year.

Idk about other branches if they’re allowed in but if he’s marines he might have better luck at penelton

idk about southern BUT I like CA for the DAV discounts! with a disability rating of 50%, my non res. license total is 18$ for 3 turkeys in the spring..

Hunted Fort Hunter Liggett a couple of times. Poison oak everywhere down there....

Thanks for the replies, he got info from some one who hunted Guatay before and has a solid plan, so I hope he gets into some, I will keep you updated. He is set on taking one with his new bow so I wish him good luck and maybe next year we will hunt together.
