It is the bond. A working bond is even more intense. Even more if you train them yourself. I swear it feels like a mental link with many of them.
It’s fantastic when it all clicks in place. Hard when they get old and/or sick.

We went for a walk in an area we run the hounds. The walk back felt lonely but it was time.

It’s hard to watch your dogs get old but it’s just part of the cycle of life. I take my dogs hunting until they die, that’s what they live for, if they come out of their dog house and want to go to the truck we load them up and take them hunting!
