« on: March 14, 2022, 08:33:10 PM »
March 26th Washington Water Fowl Association is holding its first Smith Island clean up. Boats will be meeting at the Marysville launch at 9am. Kayaker’s and hikers will meet at the Smith Island habit and wildlife viewing area at 9am till noon. Goal is to pick up as much trash off the dyke and water as possible. Bob Wingard, WDFW Private lands Biologist, will be on hand at the viewing area to answer questions and manage the dyke clean up. Tom Elliott from WWA will managing the boats at Marysville ramp and lead the water clean up off union slough. If you or your club/organization is looking to help keep our resources open and clean, looking to get to know the area and the wildlife that uses it please come and give a hand. Please bring trash bags. Long handle nets, mud boots or waders if needed. Boats that have extra room for volunteers would be great. Tom Elliott 425 220 6567.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
