That's because they are. If you're just looking for a general tag, you have way better odds of drawing WY than any hunt in WA. To top it off, I would argue that WY general hunts are as good as any quality hunt in WA.

The agenda of the new commissioners was on display in full glory today. Micro manage WDFW for the benefit of the predator advocates and screw the staff’’s work. We will need more help from the tribes. The Umatillas may have  laid some groundwork today.  Subtle, but it was there.  Make the newbies think hard before they vote in a way that negatively impacts the Umatilla’s First Food cycle.   I expect there to be more involvement by the tribes around the state.

100%.  I was hoping for a little more of a direct approach from CTUIR; but I think it will come.  We've already had some Tribal managers call out the absurdity of a few of these commissioners.

I believe it was during open comments on Friday that a tribal rep from WWa spoke in favor of the spring bear hunt, fwiw.

Many years ago, I was told by a Puyallup elder that if you took the tribal vote away from any governor he would not be governor.  Look how close the last election was, and how many tribal votes are there in this state ?   Just saying.

I think getting rid of the gov and attorney gen would go a long ways toward wdfw overhaul.  Get the politics out, eliminate special interest groups because special interest means agenda and conflict of interest.

Also, purge politics by way of term limits.  Treat politicians like normal citizens.  Social Security and oslamacare, no perks, no special treatment, no free cafeteria, nothing.

The problem is now the WDFW Commission is essentially for the most part, non-hunters and anti-hunters, who are deciding how and when hunters can hunt.  :twocents:

The last governor election was a landslide for Inslee. Biggest margin in 20 years...
