WWA Samish Cleanup Saturday April 30th
« on: April 12, 2022, 01:09:21 PM »
The NW Chapter is hosting a post hunting season cleanup of the Skagit Wildlife Area.

This is an annual cleanup and the focus will be on the Samish unit.  This is a large unit that sees a significant amount of hunting throughout the season.   Each year WWA volunteer members and non-members remove Shot-shell Hulls and other trash from Hunting Blinds and throughout the unit.

Samish Unit - Saturday April 30th

We will meet at the Samish Unit parking lot at 10:00am.   We’ll focus on covering the entire unit including all the hunt blinds. Calf high (Muck Boots) or Hip Boots are necessary.

Trash Bags and haul out provided by WDFW.  Greg Meis SWA Manager will be on hand. We will also assess Blind conditions for future maintenance. Maps with Blind locations will be available.

This is a great place to walk and get familiar with. Hope for Sun and bring the family.

I’ll bring the Donuts, so grab your boots and lend a hand!   Please pass this on to others.

Our Mission

Preserve, protect, and promote waterfowl, waterfowl habitat, and waterfowl hunting; particularly in the state of Washington

To that end, we teach folks about waterfowl, waterfowl conservation, sportsmanship, shooting, hunter safety, and waterfowling. We also study, advise, recommend, and secure enactment of legislation in the interest of waterfowl, their habitat, and waterfowl hunting.
