Daughter doubled!
« on: April 01, 2022, 06:52:20 PM »
Our opening evening proved to be very eventful! Not long into the sit had 2 mature toms come in to 30 yards but to the right of the blind with no shot, they eventually worked off behind us. About 45 min into our sit 2 jakes popped up across the field. A few soft yelps and purrs had them coming on a string. The rest is history! 2 shots from the .410 and 2 dead gobblers!

Is her HW handle going to be GobbleBuster?  :chuckle:

You do an awesome job creating outdoor experiences for her.

Congrats!

My mother was a .410 single shot pheasant hunter, and she took offense when someone made fun of her gun. This young lady's performance certainly gives credence to the effectiveness of that particular firearm. Congratulations and I love the smile that came with the successful hunt.

Here is a link to a quick video I put together of the hunt. Yes I get too excited, and yes I’m a terrible videographer 😂 I was trying to get her to shoot when their heads were lined up, but at least I got the gun reloaded and her set back up before the second one took off!
