I sure wish RJ had gotten a bird, he really hung in there, but it was still a great time and successful in so many ways as you said.

RJ is a great sportsman already at his young age, I can see that's because he has good people around him. Looking forward to seeing you all again in the future!  :hello:

Thanks for that Dale .You guys did everything you could  and then some to get him a bird and he really enjoyed it
He’s already wearing down that pot call thank you for taking that time to show them how to use it.
Do I use sand paper on the face or the stick to get it roughed up to work better?
He really did wear it out and is proud of being able to make it work😁

A small piece of sand paper about 100 grit works well to rough it up again.

This a great read.  Sometimes, the benefit of the hunt is the experience and plain fun.

On a separate note, I'll be canning some of Iceman's Smoked Razor Clams in the next few days.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

A day hunting is always better than work.
A lot better than sitting at home.
Memories with the kids is a cherry on top.👍👍👍

I always had a great time taking my boys out hunting in the Oregon youth seasons....they had so much fun!  Keep it up!
