Honey, orange juice, lemon juice, salt, pepper, ginger, pepper flakes and corn starch for a thickener. Cook until melded and desired thinkness. Drizzle it over crispy fried wings and shake sesame seeds all over 5 minutes before serving. I use a fare amount of baking power in my flour coating which will get the wings to crisp up and stay crispy after saucing. Let the wings sit in the flour mixture for at least 30 minutes to an hour so the coating globs on the skin good.
$5 is a lot of money if you ain't got it

Thai sweet chili sauce

I was just going to post a question about Thai sweet chili, which I much prefer to Buffalo Sauce. Do you have a recommendation or a recipe?

I use Mae Ploy. If I dip I just use straight or if I'm tossing the wings, like most others I mix with melted butter.

A little tip on the Asian sauces - find an Asian food store and you'll pay about half of what you'll pay at Freddy's or even Wally World. Plus, there's a lot of cool stuff  and don't miss the frozen section for dim sum and fish, like squid, shrimp, etc.

Ooh, another one that a friend makes is franks red hot (I think the buffalo sauce version), honey and bourbon. Can't remember the proportions...maybe I ate too many of them  :chuckle:

I'm gonna have to go to the store on the way home now.

Mae Ploy is GOOOOOD *censored*. My kids eat it on anything. I like to dry my wings in the fridge with baking soda and salt mixture over night then bake them crisp. Toss em in some Mae Ploy

Tossing them on the grill works as well. 14 different spices in the rub.

Wings are my fave, I love traditional buffalo the most, and have even been to the anchor bar in buffalo, NY.  One go to is- -  Franks, Butter, and spicy mustard to taste is delicious, tangy but hottish.  say... 1/2 cup franks, 1/4 cup mustard, 4-8 tbsp butter, depending upon desire for spiciness, more butter, less heat.  can throw in a small amount of worcestershire as well if desired.
