Doesn't bearpaw post photos of nonresident turkey hunters he guides every year.Just what is the difference when people come from the west side with coolers full of salmon and whisky? You might not, But I had been thrown off some public land by a person who was confused about what a buddy of mine owned. I was coming off the hill and ran into him, and he started to inform me he was good friends with the person, and he owns all of the land. I let him run his gums. I guess the only real problem was I hunting with the landowner and he was walking down the road behind this well-informed person. When the person saw the land owner he got really sheepish.Yes and I've met some people from the east side that id have sworn they were from the west, based on their opinions and actions, doesnt mean every east sider is the same. I live there because of work, not because of who I am.

www.huntquietly.orgAccess is becoming more and more limited while influencers advertise hunting opportunities to make money. The areas open to public access are less and less daily. Demand to hunt the remaining open areas is increased by longtime hunters being displaced from their former hunting grounds. Simultaneously, the hunting industry and hunting media strives to recruit new hunters in an effort to sell them products. The same influencers also create material that attracts longtime hunters from other areas. NE WA has at least three prominent youtube hunting influencers that have contributed to the demise. One of those individuals specificially focuses on turkeys and gives away exact locations on video. The east coast/south is years ahead of where we are in the process. Due to limited access (leasing and outfitting) and seasons back home (widespread loss of wild turkey hunting opportunity in the east/south), this will only continue. To be clear, I don't blame any out of state hunters that want to come here and hunt. I blame the hunting celebrities and want-to-be hunting celebrities that are fueling the end of hunting as we knew it and modeling poor behavior for new hunters. This is all done to make money and/or acquire some sort of celebrity status amongst hunters. It is also done despite concrete evidence that it is bad for hunting and wildlife.
We have a lot of Turkeys, what else would a non res come here to do? Whitetail down, mule deer down, Elk have hoof rot, Moose population down, pheasant numbers way down. Turkeys are it. I ran a across guys from Tennessee last year. Super nice and I even gave them so general areas to check out.
