Marlin fishing in Cabo
«

Hey guys-
I don't post much, but thought you guys might like this. Here's a video I did from a Marlin trip my dad I did in Cabo last month. Went out with JR and Omar from the Rebecca with Pisces Sportsfishing. I would highly recommend them. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
And yes, I made the beginning cheesy on purpose.

Ya, I'd definitely recommend them. It was my first time with them and I'll be using them from now on. They're legit. Very professional set up.

Just remember the two+ hour run out to the fishing Spot. We went probably 15 years ago now and after a couple hours of slamming through the 10- 15 ft rollers to start fishing I’ve never been more seasick. If you have a issue with that take lots of medicine. Wasn’t too rough once we got to the fishing spot but getting out there definitely was. We never did get any Marlin when we went, a few big sailfish, barracuda, dorado. Maybe the marlin didnt like the lobster and tequila chum I was tossing over board.

This will be my third year going to La Paz. We do three day trips on the fishing end of it. Super affordable and great fishing. We target marlin and dorado mostly, Made an effort to get tuna a couple time. I have not been disappointed. We even managed a couple sailfish.

How long is the fight? Is it like lunker sturgeon - 45 min - an hour? Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! They fought really good! Maybe not as long as a sturgeon, but I'd say 20-30 minutes. I'd equate them more to a 90 lbs steelhead. Lot's of runs and jumps.

I will be in cabo three weeks from now for 8 days. I plan to plant my butt in a chair on the beach with some cold beverages and a few books. I do enjoy watching the boats come back in to the marina to see what has been caught.

Went with them today. Got into a lot of marlin but they just weren’t biting anything they threw at them. There were 3 of us the skipper word hard and we all three were able to land a marlin.
