Dogtra Pathfinder gps collars (Bought one)
« on: April 16, 2022, 09:30:44 AM »
Hey guys I’m looking at the dogtra pathfinder collars for my pointer
I like the satellite maps I can download into my phone to use. The  e collar part I’m not to sure of that because you use your phone for any corrections
I have a dogtra e collar for training already just wondering if any of you have used this and what you thought about it
I’ve been going back and forth on just the tracking collar in case I want to run him in any trials
The dogtras look a lot easier than garmin for downloading maps
Thanks in advance

I use the pathfinder for my moderate ranging Britt, I can’t compare to any of the garmin stuff but I’ve been very happy with the collar/app so far.  It’s super simple and the map and compass features are awesome, will alert you when the dog points.  The only down side for training is the pain of constantly pulling your phone out but it’s a great hunting collar, especially for the money.

Once you go to the gps collar there is no going back imo.

I have the pathfinder mini, but I'm sending it back for warranty work as we speak.  The tone and stimulation stopped working on it.

Bought one last week and agree

So far so good very happy with it and I’m a lot more relaxed when my dog goes out of site
Haven’t used it for hunting yet but training  works great and letting him run as far as he wants and not worrying if he’s coming or going is nice I can use the tone and see he’s heading back
Being able to save a track is very cool to see where he’s been and able to replay it
Well worth the money
