Anyone line-x their running boards ?

I have a black jeep with some fading trim. Going to order some of that Cerakote trim stuff for the fenders but wondering if anyone has treated their black running boards as they are starting to fade as well ? Your thoughts on coating the running boards with like product or line-x or just buy new ? I want to keep them on as they keep a lot of rocks being thrown up from the front tires.
Thanks

Just my two cents...buy new! I did that and they had to sand blast them before spraying them...end result was they rusted on the inside and bled rust out onto the bars and looked like chit! If you do it weld the ends shut so there is no chance of them bleeding! if there flat boards you should be OK if there bars seal the ends...hope this helps!

Not running boards, but I sis it to a set of nerf bars once, and was really happy with it. I never had an issue with them being slippery
