Don’t be afraid to crank up the heat. I’ve done butts at 300 degrees when I’m in a hurry. Finished product isn’t much different than 225-250. I never foil and pull at 195 and let rest

Put a little bourbon in it. 

Very disappointed in myself for not thinking of this myself at some point in my life up to this point...

...on the other hand, Pianoman just gave me a reason to go buy a pork butt for next weekend...

Think Safeway had them on special for around 1.50 a pound.  Would be a cheap and tasty experiment.
