I had a good hunt. We saw quite a few bulls. I was limited on time so my goal was a 6 point. I saw one in the fog the first morning and unfortunately never shot. He was killed the next day and went 310-320. A lot of guys who were there weren’t seeing any elk. The last day I was there we were calling and because it was getting dark I moved down the hill. I never saw the bull but he came up to my guide and was well over 350. I had problems at home and had to leave the next day so I never filled my tag. But my guide took someone else after I left and they killed a different 350 type bull 2 days later. From what I’m told in the past there were lots of big bulls but with the tag increases a guy should shoot a 5 or 6 point if they see one now. I’d love to go back so I could harvest another eastern elk but the draw odds are pretty bad.
