Nope, and I can't find anything more recent than 01/19/2019

I would imagine this was all put on hold due to C19.

He made promise that if he ‘buys a license’ he will not poach.

The plea agreement would have had him go to prison for a year.  But the sentencing was delayed awaiting his testifying in the Oregon trials.  Haynes actually did more poaching in Oregon than he did WA.  It was a multi-state ring.

Interesting article about the background behind the sting operation:

Seems I remember hearing about him or one of the others committing suicide shortly after this went down.

I met Tyler once a few years ago when he was a rookie officer, helped him on a poaching case when the TV show was still following them around. Great guy!  That article was crazy, glad those dirt bags got caught. I wonder if some are back at it??

Yeah i guess i should have been more clear on my question.

Whats the status of his Oregon hearing and what was the actual sentencing for both states. Sounds like what another member said may be true about COVID delaying all of this.

Great article.  Shows how much work it takes to nail these criminals in court.

I'm pleased that he was caught along with the ring. Poaching like that is theft and it gives a bad name to hunters for those who struggle to differentiate between hunting and poaching. It hurts everyone.

The second article says "Haynes died unexpectedly before he could report to jail."

Yeah this paragraph is in the article that I linked:

"Depending on their level of involvement, the poachers received up to several thousand dollars in fines, and a few were sentenced to more than a year in jail. Haynes and the Dillses got the harshest sentences. (Haynes died unexpectedly before he could report to jail.) From the wardens’ point of view, considering the hours and resources they’d put into the investigation, the penalties seemed light."

It's amazing how much time the wardens/police put into getting all that evidence lined up in time just days before the statute of limitations ran out.  Those wardens/police need special awards for that level of work.

And an additional pat on the back for saying how light the penalties were.

Haynes' cases in Clackamas, Lincoln, and Clatsop Counties were dismissed because of a global resolution in Wasco Co. case. Plead guilty to 21 counts of 45 charged. Sentenced to 270 days, could serve it in Skamania County, credit for time served, lost hunting license for 3 years, 3 years probation, and $12,000 in fines.

Erik Martin: Plead guilty on 15 of 42 counts. 60 days jail, credit for time served, serve in Skamania Co., 3 year license suspension, 3 years probation, $12,000 in fines.

Eddy Dills: Wasco Co.: no plea, trial on 2 misdemeanors. Life time suspension of OR hunting and trapping licences. 30 days jail. 5 years probation. Credit for time served. Affirmed on appeal. Clatsop Co: 3 counts, not guilty after trial.

Joseph Dills: Wasco Co.: plead guilty on 9sof 12 counts. 180 days jail. Credit for time served. Hunting and trapping license suspended for life. 60 months probation. $10,500 in fines. Clatsop: plead guilty to 4 of 6 counts.  3 and 5 year license suspensions (different counts). 60 months probation. $2,800 fines. Lincoln Co.: plead guilty on 4 of 5 counts. Hunting and trapping licenses suspended for life. 60 months probation. $2,000 fines. Clackamas Co.: plead guilty to 2 of 4 counts. 60 mos. probation. Hunting and trapping lic. suspended for life. $1,000 fine. Wasco Co.: plead to 9 of 12 counts. Licenses suspended for life. 60 months probation. 180 days jail. Credit for time served. Serve in Skamania Co. $10,500 fine.

If I recall correctly, all have no contact with the others, forfeited seized items, don't have any hunting dogs, and no involvement in hunting activities during probation.

IDK why the difference in how long licenses were suspended under the plea deals.
