Take the plunge? (First bow candidate)
« on: May 24, 2009, 02:25:48 PM »
I am new to archery and think I may have found my first bow.  Its a specific bow I shot from a guy I got together with today. He listed his bow on Craigslist for $450 but after I shot it and we talked a little he lowered that to $400. He’s been selling it almost a month. I may offer to trade/partial trade him a firearm or some ammo.   I shot it out to about 15-20 yards and had a group about the size of a paper plate.

Here are the stats and what he says their retail is:
·         2008 PSE Mach X $850
·         Top Gun 5 pin F18 sight $60
·         Scott Little Goose release: $70
·         Vertex Quiver $100
·         Extra set of limbs (50-60lb)…currently has 60-70 lb limbs. $?
·         Extra set of strings (Winners Choice) $120
·         It had some nice arrow rest that I can’t remember the name of. Basically it pushes the arrow up as its drawn back. $?
·         Soft carrying case
·         6 carbon arrows

I like it and think it’s a good deal. He said he hasn’t registered the serial number yet so I’d have it under warranty. He’s a pretty flexible guy and said he wouldn’t mind me having either a friend or a shop double check it.

Sound like a good deal? Any opinions are solicited and welcome. Thanks  :dunno:

The Mach X is a great bow. Thats a good deal at 400.00. Not sure where you are from but I can look at the bow for you I sell PSE and shoot for PSE. I can look at the draw lenght on you to and set it if you need. The limbs cost about 100-120...what arrow rest does it have?
