Alrighty, I received the waterjet blanks about a week ago and so far have gotten 16 of them through heat treat. Now would be a good time for those who are interested to tell me what grind, pattern, and handle material they'd like if they are wanting a knife from this first batch; once I finish the knife I will send you pictures and you are given first dibs on it, under no obligation. Base price is $240 for one of my 8in Chef knives in machine finished AEB-L (either flat or hollow ground) and Micarta, G-10, Walnut Dymalux, or various wood handles. Some handle materials (like different G-10 colors or Desert Ironwood) will come with a price increase, as they are more expensive and/or harder to work with. A few people will probably want a handrubbed finish, which would bump the price up too. I'm building these for you to enjoy using every day and still be able to pass on to your children.
