I know alot dont like it and consider it trash, but I enjoy finding homemade stands in the woods. Most of them are from years ago and are in shambles, i always wonder about all the success/failures the hunter had there, like finding a piece of history for me.

I do too when they are wood. Eventually they will rot and become part of the forest. I have seen some that I am sure could tell some cool stories.

It is kind of cool to find them.

There used to be a huge one on the southeast side of the Pe Ell tree farm. IIRC it was an octagon or circle shape. Had to be 10 or 12 feet in diameter, complete with a nice roof. You could live in it. Always wondered what the story was on that and what ended up happening to it.
