I need a goose call to learn on (any price)

Now that I am decent at duck calling I want to learn goose calling, but the issue is call selection to learn on.  I had a zink call of death that sounded good, but after I took it apart once to clean I nor a friend  could get  it to sound close to what it did when it came out the box, so I ended breaking it after taking it apart and putting it back together so many times. I bought an echo poly goose call because I love echo duck calls, but honestly even though I  suck at calling,  it sounds way to high pitched. Like I can’t get it low enough before the break to sound like a goose honk. Also, The echo goose call only has one possible position for the reed.. So any recommendations on a goose call that will sound realistic but will be easy to learn on as I grow And won’t be a pain to tune after cleaning? I’ve been looking at pacific calls because they sound so good in the videos.

I picked a last flight deceiver last winter. So far I like it over other calls I have tried. They also say free life tuning if you send it back.

I have a Zink that I like.  Can't recall the exact model. I've heard good things about Saunders calls also.
I learned my lesson about taking calls apart.  :bash:  Any problems now and I send them back to the maker for any repairs. :tup:

This is a tutorial in hand placement for using a short reed call.
Also a tutorial on taking apart a call and tuning it.

My preference is a super easy to use Big River flute.  Does not do all the things a good caller with a short reed call can do, but unless you are supper gung ho about learning to call, a flute is the best option IMHO.

Get a zink or whatever short reed call you want. Before taking it apart mark the reed with a pen to show you where it sits. Mark the guts with a blade. Make sure you take a photo. Then get after taking it apart.

Get the Zink power clucker, easiest short reed to blow and get goosy sound.
