Close.....8 pounds, on the nose, although I can't take the glory for catchin it...Our cousin who lives down there did, on a crappie rod no less.

Been over 20 years since I've seen a cottonmouth, haven't missed them yet.  Looks like a good time!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
