Dehydrator suggestions?

Wanting to get into this. Mom does it a lot.
Got a bunch of cherries coming and the garden is growing.
Suggestions on what one to get or anything dehydrate related.

Get one that is square or rectangular.  I've had a round American Harvest for 30 years, but it is round.  I have trouble replacing things that work fine, but it still irritates me.

I have an Excalibur dehydrator and it has been great for about 7 years now.  I highly recommend it, and it is on sale on Amazon right now.  Not the cheapest thing out there,  but it does a good job.  You only need a timer if you might be doing jerky and need it to turn off while your out or sleeping.

It depends on how much you are going to use it, if it's just once a year or quite a bit.

I bought a new one for cherries and if you can figure out how to get them to not stick to the grates it will make the process much easier.  I cut them in half and they always stick bad.

Dried home grown cherries are the bomb though and worth the effort.

I haven’t done cherries yet but I have a problem with stuff sticking pretty often. I’m definitely a novice at this though. I got a MEAT! 10 tray and it seems really nice and I like it. Little big for how much I’ve used it though. Would rather have a freeze dryer I think but those are spendy.

Wouldn't a little spritz of PAM or the like on the grates help alleviate that?

I have the Cabelas one pictured above, I do a big batch of jerky about every 2 months and it does a decent job. I dried apples last fall in it and it dried them very well and fast.

I got my wife a Meat brand 6 tray Dehydrator a few years ago that she really loves. Makes the kids fruit leathers and all sorts of dried fruits.

Her dad got us a Cuisinart airfryer/toaster oven/dehydrator combo last year and its nice but the Meat brand seems to hit lower temps with better air flow.
