Mt Spokane north B antlerless moose
« on: June 18, 2022, 09:49:52 AM »
Drew an unexpected moose tag along with a quality deer. Going to be a busy year and hoping someone on here could possibly give me some pointers on this area. Hoping I can get some insight on the terrain, what part of the season to focus on, where to stay, and maybe a starting point. I’ve already read to get the IEP permit and plan to do so. Really appreciate any info, hope I can return the favor someday. Thanks

No pointers, but nice haul pulling 2 good tags in one year.
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.

I'm no expert but I drew it 15 or so years ago.

Get the EIP pass.  Walk some of the top roads.
We had 6" of snow which made Moose stand out like aliens.

It was like trying to find a mosquito in a swamp.

Hunted 3-4 hours.   Saw 5-6 Moose and shot one.
Had never set foot in the unit until the first day we hunted.  Nov 12.

I'm sure it's not always like that.   LOL

I had the tag in 2016.  There's not a whole lot to choose from for places to camp or stay in the unit itself.  Moonlight RV on 211 NW of Diamond Lake was nice with great rates, showers, etc.  There's a couple motels in Newport.  We stayed at the Golden Spur which was pretty descent.  PM me with any other questions.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
