A family friend did draw the colockum muzzy bull tag. I’m planning on taking the season off and holding his primers.

My brothers Father in Law drew a Teanaway Archery tag. My brother drew that tag a few years back and we were into some huge bulls so should be a fun hunt for him. Hoping to get in some scouting trips with them.

Congrats Karl.  I think you guys should do just fine as long as he can shoot straight.

I hope they don't wait until the end to shoot one like you did.  :chuckle:  I know you have to shoot when you get the shot.  I just got lucky and did it day one of really hunting.

Good buddy of mine drew one of the Dayton rifle bull tags and his boy pulled one of the firing range rifle bull tags. Who and when to help is the dilemma!  LOL

And, another friend drew one of the Wenaha East muzzleloader bull tags. He's on his own since I will be hunting Oregon bucks and bulls with some family and friends at that time. Good luck to all those who drew tags!

I drew the quality elk modern tag in Lick Creek in the Blues.  The deer hunters will probably have the elk pushed into the GAP (God Awful Places) by the time the hunt starts but I am going to give it hell. Anyone here have the other tag in there?

I’ve already seen two 400 class bulls, one super typical and one non typical that I’m sure will have guys clamoring over them.  Growth is phenomenal this year.  There is also another big on the lowland eburg that can spark another 60 page thread.  He isn’t as big as the last one so maybe next year.

So is that area closed off for hunting unless you draw a tag, or is it that you can only get a bull elk there with a tag?

My buddy has one of the colockum archery tags so we'll be back in there poking around again.
Good luck up there.  Awesome Tag! My pops and I will be up there poking around on general season tag.  I'll let ya know if we are into a giant.
