10 feet on a whitetail when I pulled the trigger, slid past me and at about 2 feet when dead

I put the barrel of my 30-30 to a bears head to kill it when he came out of the tree and landed next to me, does that count?

Almost shot a way over 400” bull at 18 yards. Thought he would step out at 12. But never got the shot that day…

Vertical distance about 20-25 yards horizontally about 7 feet.
