I could use some inputs on a new AR-15 that i have. Anderson complete lower and Bear Creek complete upper in 6.5 Grendel. First thing I did before shooting was swap the trigger out for a Timney trigger. My first trigger job on an AR-15 (have done plenty on bolt actions), other than cursing those darn tiny set screws with my aging eyes, it appeared to have gone OK. But now that I went to shoot it, only one round will fire and I have to toggle the safety from fire to safe and back to fire after every shot. A round is cycling properly, with another round going in just fine. And accuracy is good in this barrel. It appears to be related to the trigger and or safety, and I can't for the life of me understand why. Before I go through disassembly and reassembly of the trigger/safety, I thought I'd post the question to the forum to see if anybody has had this issue before. Rifle shoots fine, and the safety technically works regarding firing in fire and not firing in safety position. It's just annoying that it's a single shot rifle unless I work the safety back and forth. Please let me know if anybody has any suggestions.
Never mind. Upon disassembly the problem presented itself. Stupid mistake. That's what I get for being in a hurry to shoot the new toy...... Problem solved. Functions fine now. Thanks for the tips and responses all.
