Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I had a spreadsheet going.

Probably interested in 40 items at the start.

Then 30.

Then 20.

Then 10.

Then nothing.

None of the stuff I had interest in went for what I thought was a good price.   Which I guess means I didn't want it very bad

I agree, would rather buy at a dealer and hold the gun in my hand for those prices.

I concur that the prices were not steals in anyway.  I did get the browning citori i was after for what I think was a decent deal.  Its going to be a duck gun so the cheaper the better.  There were a number of Winchester Pre-64's for sale that went for under $800.

I picked up a couple Beretta tomcats for a decent price. I had one for my wife and both daughters wanted ones. Saved a couple hundred  on both so not too upset.

I was looking at the pre-64 M70s but went for one of the M54s.

The only ones that had my attention went too high too fast. Do they ever publish what the winning bid was? I would be curious on a few others as to what they ended up going for.

Too many people either ignore the buyers premium and sales tax or just plain go into a frenzy - especially with online auctions. I have never found a great deal in an online auction but have found plenty in onsite auctions

One of the auction sites I belong to has a $400 Minimum. There was an item I wanted that is worth about $150. Not going to pay $550 for it! It did not sell.
Some that I belong to you can look at completed auctions and see the selling bid. Most do not.
Cuterebra are NOT cute!

@bearhunter99 the final prices are listed. Not sure if you had to be registered to see them.
