That archery buck taken a few years back on the A.F. base near Yakima?  It was in Western Hunter I believe, have to search for a pic when I got a chance.  200+ non-typical?

That thing was brutal.   Just a tank.   Would love to see that pic resurface.

Great stuff guys, some real swamp donkeys. I remember someone on here talking about world record typical whitetail sheds, some farmer found years ago near addy. Not sure If there's any truth to it but hey. This is the stuff legends are made of

Cartwright buck is a great story.  215" typical (I believe) whitetail from Stevens Co in 1992.  Lots of controversy about it - who actually killed it, how it was killed, and how the main beam got broken.

that bucks official score is 199 or 198 I believe. Ive talked to guys who hunted that buck and a landowner who lived near that property. I dont believe that buck was ever taken legally

Ya I've researched it a bit.,talk to people about it.
I have a pretty good idea of the area he came from.
But what killed that buck,nobody will ever know.

I ran into him in the Hunters Tavern a few years ago.  He showed me a picture of the buck.  I told him I had heard a lot of stories about it.  He said "Yeah by a bunch of people that weren't there".  Thought that was a pretty good response.  I started hunting over there in 1992 and have ran into so many people over the years that claim to know something about it.

My family is in a few of those “ Muley Books”, there’s a few they helped out with as far as research, migrations, shutting down vehicle access etc. We have some that are actually signed( autographed) by some of the folks involved. My great grandparents, my grandparents and my dad were interviewed and taken out on many “recon missions “. There was a period of time during one of the books being written that my dad spent weeks traveling with bios, road trips with bios, college folks and numerous other folks within the Game Department, my dad opened up about some, (not all😆) of the many migration routes going back to 1917. Don’t ask, I will not mention any of the books👌, not my dads decision, mine.
