I asked WDFW the question a few days ago.

Got this back:  Thank you for contacting the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

There is a possibility that there won't be leftovers. Last year it was in August.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at 360.902.2464.

Thank You,

You should just concentrate on that Goat and leave the deer to the rest of us :chuckle:

MW, if you're not going to purchase the multi-season tag you drew, you will get your points back.  Just need to call WDFW and they'll work it for you over the phone.  It only took a day or two and my points came back (I can't take advantage of the MS elk tag I drew with other state successful draws getting priority).

Do you have to PURCHASE the multi season tag in order to apply for different weapon type special hunts? Or are people just waiting until special draws come out to actually purchase their multi?

Oh dang, I was just joking that is pretty silly. But I guess if they're going to allow it I might as well...

Here’s the response I got. Guess it just depends on who you deal with and whether any of them know what the heck is going on

Thank you for contacting the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Since the Multi-Season drawings are for a tag and not a permit, they do not qualify for the point restoration. Since the special hunt permits are not tags, they may be returned to the Wildlife Program, as those utilize the transport tags whether they are Multi-Season or General Season.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at 360.902.2464.

Another money seeking ploy by the state.
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
