Do you have to PURCHASE the multi season tag in order to apply for different weapon type special hunts? Or are people just waiting until special draws come out to actually purchase their multi?

You have to purchase the multiseason tag before you can apply for different weapon type special hunts. Otherwise, you are limited to whatever tag you HAVE purchased, or if you have not yet purchased any tag, you can't apply for any hunts. I went through this the last couple years. Had to return my muzzleloader tag and purchase multiseason before other permit applications became available on my account.

Anyone here of what the resale of un-purchased multi season tags is yet? I can’t find anything on their website.

Everyone that drew them has To the end of the month to buy them still. So there should be an update that first week of August

Just called about availability of OTC MS tags not purchased before 31 Aug.  I was told that they would not be selling them OTC this year, but instead will be notifying the hunters that did not draw - giving them a chance to purchase the MS tag based on the number they drew during the original draw for tags.  Sounds like every applicant drew a number and then the original "selected" hunters had the opportunity to buy the tag up till the end of August.  Any remaining/unpurchased tags will be then made available (by email contact) based on each hunter's draw number, until all the tags are sold or there are no more hunters desiring to buy it.    :bdid:

The deadline was July 31.  I like the new (not new) way they are doing this, takes away the chit show of trying to buy an elk tag in .5 seconds.  I had 11 points and didn’t draw an ms elk, I just have to hope I’m in line to get an email saying I’m next in line. Figure all the elk ms tags will be gone by next week.
