2005 Suzuki LT 80 quad
« on: July 19, 2022, 01:58:07 PM »
Have one with intermittent starting problems.  Where the battery is stored there are two fuses in a white connector with two red wires into it.  Seems like I have to continue to clean them for a clean start.  If I  have the charger on it turns over no problem and starts.  Battery checked out but didn't do a load test on it.  Once charger is off of it it's a crap shot.  Will replace battery and check grounds.  Anybody else had a similar situation and what was your cure?  Grandsons make crazy faces when it won't start.  Thanks for any input.

Weak Magneto maybe?  Bad rectifier maybe?  What's the voltage when running?

Thanks, will order one to see if that makes a difference when it comes to starting.  But will also give them another option for starting the machine if I'm not around. Grandsons are itching to bug grandparents about riding and being around which can be fun.  The predator 90 has been good just issues with the 80.  Thanks again for the suggestion

Maybe try a new power wire, and make sure the grounds are clean.
