Yakima tranny shop recommendation

Looks like I smoked my tranny this morning in 346. Any shops that might be able to get me in and salvage some of my hunt?

What is your tranny doing or not doing? My buddy overheated his tranny this summer and it dumped out a couple gallons of fluid from the front seal. We were up a skinny one lane logging road. My brother drove 5 hours bringing over my flatbed and some tranny fluid. We filled the tranny up and it worked fine and has continued to work fine the last 6 weeks. I'm sure his transmissions life has been shortened though.

Thanks Camo.

Griiz- turned it around in a bit of a pothole, gave it a little throttle and check engine light came on. Kept watch everything seemed to be fine dropped down to the river and headed up bear crk seemed fine grabbed my camera and coming back down I eased into another pothole, when I throttled up it reved then caught. Seemed ok for awhile then went into protection mode and limped back to crow crk in 2nd gear. ‘07 jeep auto for reference.

Did you check the fluid to make sure it isn't low, as it sounds like it is slipping and catching. If yes, hopefully it is an easy fix and not a tranny tear down, so you can get back hunting. Good Luck!

Tidricks on Ahtanum has done a few for me in the past. Have been happy with their work.

I've never been in a situation where my tranny gives up after being smoked, and I don't hope to be.  In that predicament, maybe I'd consider going to Thailand.  There's lots of tranny's over there, though it's more of a rental situation.

Wait, are we talking about the same thing?  Ha ha, sorry, low hanging fruit!
