Saw a couple elk today

And this was only half of them.... Sorry about the sound, came around the corner and bam....dogs were not liking the up close action.

Probably. That would explain the no calves. Well wolves, bears, cougars would probably be a better explanation

They were not running from wolves, most likely my SxS noise. Came around a corner smack into the whole herd of them. They did seem a bit confused as they ran left, then right, then back left again and then stopped. Created quite the dust storm. They have been slow to get to the summer range this year due to late snow melt, guessing the nursery groups were nearby.

Right side of the screen while Nock is zooming in and crossing the road at 9 seconds.
