First, wear what you have, there is no need spending a ton of money on clothes. When I go to Idaho in November I love to have real wool pants, thick ones, along with my baselayer it will keep me warm in any temp as long as I am not sitting for a long time. For my top it is just about layers, and wool is king when it comes to keeping you warm. Often it will be 12F in the morning but I will be in a t-shirt by afternoon if I am hiking. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just get out there with what you have and buy different stuff as you get uncomfortable.
